APPLICATION

This powerful 55 watt fluorescent industrial strength fixture provides exceptionally bright natural white light (4100K) over a wide surface area. It is built to endure the harshest machine and industrial enviroments including severe levels of coolants/lubricants, vibration, dust and flying metal debris. It is ideal where space is a limited factor measuring 25.5 inches long and 2.5 inches outer diameter. Not recommended for submerged applications. Ideal for machining centers, inspections stations, industrial task lighting, presses, EDM, screw machines, etc.

VIRTUALLY UNBREAKABLE ACRYLIC CASING

The "Super Acrylic" outer casing is remarkably resilient, virtually unbreakable, and yet remains lightweight for use even in the most hostile and roughest machine and industrial environments. It is built to endure extreme vibrations and is waterproof for the wettest conditions.

55 WATTS IN COMPACT SIZE

Halogen Lighting Products Series 5500 represents the highest wattage in the smallest casing or footprint in its class in the industrial marketplace. It measures 25.5 inches long and 2.5 inches at its outer diameter. It is ideal where limited application space is at a premium.

This superior 55 watt (4800 lumens) fluorescent design uses a 4100 degree Kelvin bulb and full length defusing reflector to produce an exceptionally bright natural white light. The compact dual fluorescent bulb with four pin electricical connection makes changing bulbs quick and easy. Our fixtures are designed to use standard off-the-shelf bulbs that can be found inexpensively and easily anywhere in the world. The bulbs always remain cool in use, assuring operator safety. The average life expectancy of the bulb is approximately 12,000 hours.

EXTERNAL BALLAST

The exceptionally high frequency electronic ballast is external to the fixture and is placed in-line with the cord. This allows the fixture and light source to be placed into rugged and hostile machine environments while protecting the expensive ballast in a safe, dry location, thus protecting your investment. This design detailing adds to the reliability and longevity of the fixture - even in the toughest industrial applications. The ballast is encased for easy serviceability or cord adjustment. Mounting is easily accomplished by the flanged ballast containing four screw holes.

SHIPS COMPLETE

The Series 5500 ships complete with on/off switch, 25 ft. of SJT oil-resistant wiring with grounded plug and two mounting brackets. There are optional 90 lb. magnets available that mount directly to the brackets.
